The watch looks great....love the way it looks and how it feels on the wrist....very lite and comfortable.....there are only two brands of watches that i buy, G-Shock (casio) and Fossil.There are some down falls to this watch though if you are using it as a sports watch and your training.First...when you are in stopwatch mode or timekeeping mode, the watch doesnt display the actual timeIn timekeeping mode, you can only set the hour and minutes, but not the seconds and there is no auto repeat....the light looks great, but since its lit up by two LED lights the bottom portion of the display is brighter than the top portion, unlike EL lit g-shock where the entire screen lights up evenly (could just be my watch).Looks great and is easy to read for it being a negative display

Very well built watch. high quality. the solar power supply works greatNot as heavy as I imagined and all functions are very practical.

Just got the watch today, and I just love it very much. I have been a G SHOCK fan for years. I have two other G SHOCK'S, that are still going strong, but wanted this model when I saw it on Amazon.I had ordered a Suunto Core black for 300 dollars. before getting this G SHOCK, but sent it back because I felt the watch was not the quality of the Casio brand of watches. The Suunto core didn't light up well at night, and the face was hard to read during daylight hours. I'm sure it's a great watch, but in my opinion didn't hold a candle to the G SHOCK watch that I have now! !!!!!!.

The GR8900A-1 G-Shock is by far the best watch I've owned! The features are everything I need for a durable watch. I will never have to worry about replacing the battery due to it being solar powered. It has a stopwatch, timer, over 3 alarms, what more could I ask for, and on top of that it is waterproof! I love it, G-shock watches are the best!!

This is a very nice watch. It does everything a G-Shock is expected to do, although a bit bigger than my previous G-Shock(GW 530-A)it still manages to look great on an average wrist like mine. The biggest draw back and the reason I give it three stars is because the face is too dark and I find myself pressing the lighting button too often to see the time.
