The green of Casio's military series is so dark, it's almost black. Depending on your color sensitivity, you will either be disappointed or merely mildly satisfied. Likewise with your vision. Casio's negative displays have slightly improved over the years to the current level of being adequate in sunlight, mildly annoying indoors, and virtually invisible in low light. However, the Auto El feature more than compensates. Of all the GD-100 series (I have them all), the MS-3 provides the crispest, sharpest view when illuminated. The red light is supposedly the easiest on the eyes, but with a duration of one and a half or three seconds, this is a moot point.Anyway, to the Casio enthusiast, the green body is a welcome change from black. The "red eye" adds a subtle but welcome dash of color to the face. For practicality, the MS-1 is a better choice.
I use this watch when I am training for my firefighting and medical practicals. It is rugged and can take a beating, it's great.
I bought this watch for my husband and he loves it. It has a very manly appearance I would say. He has done several expeditions in the Amazon rain forest for work. Pulling boats through rapids and tracking across the jungle. Overall its is a very sturdy watch worth the price no complaints here. Hope this helps.
I wear this watch to work every day (US Military) and it goes great with the uniform. The only issue is the light does not provide enough light to read the time in the dark.
Looks cool. I love it. It's bigger than my other g-shocks and a matte OD Green color. The black face looks amazing
